In the procession, a new slogan: “Puno is Peru.” ” Dina Boluarte said that the city of Puno was not really Peru. But we are Peruvians. That’s why we come to walk in the capital. »

Víctor, a teacher in Arequipa, also responds to Dina Boluarte’s calls for a truce. ” He calls for dialogue and 15 minutes later, in his speeches, he insults us. Our movement will become even more radical. »

As in previous days, an important police force was installed in the historic center of Lima.

More and more protesters are arriving wearing glasses and masks to protect themselves from tear gas.

The president repeats, for her part, that she will not give up. Several ministers say they are in favor of this year’s elections. But the decision is in the hands of Congress. The president was heard yesterday by the Organization of American States (OAS) and asked Congress to ratify the early elections as soon as possible. Left-leaning MPs filed a vacancy motion against him yesterday.
